BOLLYWOOD FEMALE SINGER IN INDIA

Shibani Kashyap is a multi-talented popular playback and pop singer, composer and live performer whose voice received unique recognition starting with the signature tune of AIR FM channel of All India Radio. Her super hit songs like HO GAYI HAI MOHABBAT, the soulful SAJNA AA BHI JAA, the blockbusters ZINDA HU MAI, KYA NAZAKAT HAI to name a few. Her recent songs like WANNA BE FREE, CHAANDNI RAATEIN, YE KAISI BHEED HAI have rocked the musical airwaves. A Brand Ambassador for YAMAHA GUITARS. Shibani Kashyap has sung a wonderful anthem on women’s empowerment composed by the acclaimed LALIT PANDIT along with singers like SHAAN, KANIKA KAPOOR, and AKRITI KAKAR. The song is called “HUM HONGE KAMYAB”.

She is one of the rare Indian female singers who plays the guitar beautifully and is often seen performing Live and “Unplugged” at many concerts.

Shibani embarked on her musical journey lending her voice to many Commercials and was titled Jingle Queen and soon flourished as an independent musician with her debut album HO GAYI HAI MOHABBAT in 1998 which became a superhit and still is. Shibani made her debut in Bollywood as a Singer and Composer with her iconic song SAJNA AA BHI JA which incidentally was also picturized on her in the film WAISA BHI HOTA HAI – Part 2 in 2003, creating a sensation in the world of music. The song went on to become a huge hit and she carved a niche as a Bollywood singer and a soulful composer. She went on to composing and lending her voice to many films such as Sanjay Dutt’s starrer ZINDA (ZINDA HU MAI), Ram Gopal Verma’s MR. YA MISS, the National Award Winning Film Manoj Bajpai’s starrer 1971 (SEH LENGE HUM), Rohit Shetty’s SUNDAY (KASHMAKASH), Sanjay Gupta’s WOODSTOCK VILLA, BHINDI BAZAAR (TAAN KE SEENA) and the very recent Jimmy Shergill starrer GUN PE DONE (GIRLFRIEND) to name a few. Shibani was also seen in a cameo appearance with the Superstar actor Kajol in the Movie HELICOPTER EELA which released in October 2018.

Shibani has been constantly creating songs as an independent artist for Social Causes –

• ALVIDA (Tribute to 26/11 victims of Mumbai).
• DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE (A Social Message for Anti-Drunken Driving).
• I AM A WOMAN AM A GIRL (The official Femina Miss India Anthem which is a tribute to the woman)
• WANNA BE FREE featuring the Eminent Bollywood Actor Richa Chadha (Which talks about the adverse effects of using Social Media Addiction, and many more).

Some Landmark Performances in India and Abroad:

• In 2023, Shibani successfully did a diplomatic mission,a series of cultural performances in various cities in Uzbekistan sponsored by ICCR. She performed there on the occasion of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" iconic"week celebrations, as a part of G-20 Summit, which India hosted in 2023.
• Shibani Kashyap performed at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games held in Delhi in October 2010.
• Shibani Performed 4 successful concerts in EGYPT in November 2016 to represent INDIA in EGYPT.
• Shibani recently performed at World’s largest India Day Parade to celebrate 72nd year of Independence of India at New York at Madison Avenue on 19th August 2018 ( Along with eminent personalities like Kailash Kher, Kamal Haasan Ji, etc.)
• Shibani performed in the MAURITIUS INDEPENDENCE DAY celebrations in 2013 and was a part of the Indian President’s Contingent. She was sent by ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations).
• In June 2015 Shibani performed at Sahabat India Festival held in Indonesia.
• In 2014 Shibani performed in Malaysia for the Royalty of Malaysia.
• Shibani did a very successful show in Bahrain to a packed audience on 5000+ people to celebrate Eid for a show organized by Radio Mirchi called Jashn-e-Eid.

Other festivals in India: Worli Festival, Kala Ghoda Festival, LAVASA Festival, Tarpa Festival held in Silvasa. Shibani has also performed various successful shows for the Indian Army and Indian Navy. Besides these Shibani has performed for many corporate shows, for many Prominent Brands, Fashion Shows like ‘The LAKME Fashion week’ etc. and has also performed for many wedding shows in India and abroad.

• A judge in TV reality show BATHROOM SINGER along with RAVI KISHAN and the Legend BAPPI LAHIRI.
• Grand Jury in ZEE SA RE GA MA PA LITTLE CHAMPS.
• Acted in a cameo role in the super hit TV series VEERA on Star Plus.
• Anchored a Music show on the MASTI channel called DESI BEATZ.
• Recently was the Judge on the UAE based Music Reality Show called ‘THE ONE UAE’.
• Judged a Music Reality show in Muscat called ‘DIL KI AAWAAZ’ with the Legend BAPPI LAHIRI.
